A vintage gas station, sheds, cabins, and a restaurant are all part of the scenery at the Jones Store cattle station along the Sierra Scenic Byway in the central California foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain.
Mary Beth Harrison became an artist sitting at her childhood kitchen table, drawing dinosaurs and Dr. Suess characters with her siblings. The joy she felt creating art as a child lay dormant in the busy adult years but was rediscovered as her nest became empty! She loves combining plein air oil painting, photography, and studio work to create vibrant works of art that depict the stories of people, events, and moments to remember in the Sierra Nevada foothills.
