About Mary Beth Harrison
Mary Beth Harrison became an artist sitting at her childhood kitchen table, drawing dinosaurs and Dr. Suess characters with her siblings. The joy she felt creating art as a child lay dormant in the busy adult years but was rediscovered as her nest became empty! She loves combining plein air oil painting, photography, and studio work to create vibrant works of art that depict the stories of people, events, and moments to remember in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Mary Beth is an active member of Yosemite Sierra Artists and has won awards for paintings in the Tri-County Art Show, Celebrate Agriculture Art Show, Run For the Gold Classic Cars and Art Show and the Apero Catalogue Collection. Her paintings of local scenery have also been featured on the Ponderosa Telephone Directory, Valley Public Radio Audiophile Magazine, Mid-State Logger’s Jamboree Program cover, and the Sierra Art Trails catalog.
